DiscRider v2.0 Coming Soon

Thank you everyone who has downloaded DiscRider since it’s release in April! It has been consistently in the top 100 for it’s category and has had almost 15,000 downloads. The number of active users has climbed steadily for the past several months and there are currently over 850 difference people playing each week.

I’m ready to start work on an update to DiscRider. Please let me know if you have any suggestions for new game types, features, or other enhancements. I’ve changed the price on the App Store to $0.99, but if you have already downloaded DiscRider the update will be free.

DiscRider v1.1 Now Available

DiscRider v1.1 is now available for download in the iTunes App Store! This version adds some fun sound and animations. It also features a new game selection screen (shown below) that is easier to use. Best of all – it’s still free!

Keep in mind that I’m always looking for input on what you’d like to see in future versions!

DiscRider Now Free in App Store

Starting today DiscRider is available for FREE in the Apple App Store! I’m not sure if this will be for a limited time or not, so download and install now. In the future, if I start charging for DiscRider again, you will still be able to get free upgrades as long as you initially downloaded it while free.

Also, version 1.1 is complete and is awaiting approval from Apple. The new version includes new animations, sound effects, and user interface improvements. Hopefully this version will be available in the next few days.

I’m open to any suggestions for future enhancements or improvements. Comment on this post or send me an email. Finally, positive reviews in the App Store are a great way to thank me if you like DiscRider!

DiscRider v1.0 Released for iPhone iPad

I’m pleased to announce that our first iPhone / iPad game, DiscRider has been approved by the Apple iTunes App Store and is available for download for only $0.99!

This game works on all version of the iPhone and iPod Touch, supporting 1 or 2 players. It also works on the new iPad, supporting 1-4 players!

This is one of the first games in the App Store to take advantage of the expanded multi-point touch capability of the iPad, which now supports up to 10 simultaneous touches. This capability allows the iPad to support 4 player arcade-style games like DiscRider.

Announcing BrickPlayer Software

Today marks the beginning of a new software company – BrickPlayer Software!

I’ll admit the name is unusual, but finding an identity on the Internet made up of only two words, no matter how strange the combination, is difficult. Since I’ve owned the URL BrickPlayer.com for the last couple years I decided to stick with this name for my new software venture also. For anyone interested BrickPlayer.com, is a LEGO Brick building website, which I intend to keep online, but probably won’t be updating in the near future.

BrickPlayer Software will hopefully be announcing our first software release within the next week. The first product will be an entertainment application for the iPod Touch / iPhone / iPad and will be available on the iTunes App Store.
